Over the years I've used several anti-virus, anti-malware software. So far, even taking into consideration the advances made over the years, I find this version of McAfee to be a superior product. Set It and Forget It. It performs the scanning and updates automatically. I'm very pleased.

Only wasted 30 bucks, because it is helpless against the Antivirus Soft rogue anti-spyware (ransomware that claims to be 'antivirus' but is, in fact, a virus itself) that almost totally disabled my computer 1. Had to buy SpyHunter (40 bucks), which helped. On computer 2, it let the malicious worm Worm.Win32 thru, which infected all the files. Had to use Windows OneCare Safety Scanner to successfully remove it(spent a day plus the frustration, but free of charge). Now I never know when Antivirus Soft or Worm.Win32 or some such hits my computers again because, as I say, the McAfee "Total Protection" is TOTALLY HELPLESS.
I also called McAfee Customer Service. They immediately demanded that I pay $99.00, and "then they would fix the problem." I asked what they were going to do. They said they'd use the latest McAfee update to clean my system from the spyware. I suggested McAfee updates itself automatically on a regular basis, so I must have the latest update already, and it doesn't work, to which they hung up. So much for the McAfee Customer Service.

McAfee Total Protection has changed from a year ago. Now it is continually at work protecting. Every day it 'updates' virus protecion which lasts about half an hour, slowing down email process. Once or twice a day 'computer and files' are not protected and has to be fixed. Every Friday it scans the computer, which takes hours. I appreciate the protection but regret the continuous delays.

The box when I received it was banged up pretty badly. I don't know if it was shipped that way from the shipper or the post office. The CD was not damaged, but I do wish that Amazon or the shipper would take more care in packing items ordered. As far as the merchandise, I am will satisfied with it.

Thank you very much. I got the program in perfect condition and it did not take very long. I am happy with my purchase and I saved money on it. I really had no problems with the order, and I got exactly what I expected and wanted. I have nothing but good things to say in retrospect. I encourage anybody else who wants McAfee 2010 for one user to buy it the same way that I did off of Amazon.com.
