By far the biggest most expensive piece of crap I've ever purchased. So much worse than prior Norton incarnations it's mind-boggling. I would bet money it was never really tested before release.
Here are the problems I encountered:
---Backup doesn't work AT ALL. Getting it to back up the files you want is nearly impossible. Once you get a set that works right, it continues to backup at intervals you don't specify. Virutally worthless.
---Slower than dogs***. Make a change to any of the parameters and be prepared to wait 10-15 minutes on Vista.
---Finally....it LETS IN VIRUSES....then claims they are "removed." I finally ditched it when I got a worm it could not exterminate, yet it kept claiming it was not there. Kaspersky found it in an hour and quarantined it. Final straw. Deinstall.
Oh, but according to everyone on Amazon, 3.0 works perfectly. Maybe it does, but I don't pay twice for the same piece of software, even if the new version supposedly works. I won't pay for Windows 7 and I won't pay for 3.0 Norton. Call me old school. You either do it right or you don't do it.
You'll never get another dime from me, Norton. Amateur hack(ers). Peter Norton can drop the cyanide capsule anytime now.
